Day 01
  • Colombo / Ratnapura/ Lahugala/ Arugambay-320 KM - 7 Hours

    *Leave Colombo for Arugambay via Balangoda / Monaragala / Lahugala.
    *Stop for Breakfast on the way (Own arrangements).
    *Visit Diyaluma falls on the way. Thereafter proceed to Buttala to visit Maligawila Buddha statue which is 34 feet in height and carved from crystalline limestone & mounted on a lotus pedestal.
    The Maligawila Buddha statue is a standing figure of the Buddha in Sri Lanka, which has been carved out of a large limestone rock during the 7th century by a prince named Aggabodhi. It is the tallest free-standing ancient statue of the Buddha found in the country. It had been broken into several pieces by the time it was found in 1951. The statue was reconstructed and raised again in 1980 under the direction of the then president Ranasinghe Premadasa.
    *Continue journey to Monaragala for Lunch (Own arrangements)
    *After lunch continue journey pass Lahugala National Park which is famous for its wild Elephants & proceed to Hotel in Arugambay for overnight stay.

Day 02
  • Arugambay

    *Witness the Sunrise in the East coast at Arugambay Beach and after Breakfast, full day at Leisure at Arugambay Beach.
    *Optional Tour to Kumana National Park.
    Kumana National Park in Sri Lanka is renowned for its avifauna, particularly its large flocks of migratory waterfowl and wading birds. The park is 391 kilometres (243 mi) southeast of Colombo on Sri Lanka's southeastern coast.[1] Kumana is contiguous with Yala National Park. Kumana was formerly known as Yala East National Park, but changed to its present name in 5 September 2006.
    *Overnight stay at hotel in Arugambay.

Day 03
  • Arugambay/ Potuvil/ Colombo

    *Breakfast at Hotel.
    *Thereafter leave to Colmbo via Pottuvil/ Wellawaya/ Balangoda/ Ratnapura/ Horana.
    *Visit Muhudu Maha Viharaya in Pottuvil.
    Muhudu maha viharaya is a Buddhist temple situated at Pottuvil in Eastern province of Sri Lanka. This temple is situated near a wide beach. In this temple there have a stone made statue of lord Buddha and two statues of old kings or gods. In today also there is a Buddhist temple. This temple is built in Anuradapura era by king Kaavantissa. According to some folk stories Viharamaha Devi has come ashore from this place not from Kirinda and there are lot of archeological proofs supporting that. However this Buddhist temple has been built over 2000 years ago and currently ruins and remainings of Stupas and statues are being destroyed.
    *Afterwards reach Magul Maha Viharaya in Lahugala.
    *Lunch in Belihul Oya (Own Arrangements)
    *Reach WTC Colombo via Panadura.
